The Pēteris Alunāns Family Scholarship
First year students of the Tartu University are welcome to apply for the Peteris Alunans Family Scholarship in 2019/2020 acad. year. This scholarship is purposed for orphans, students without parental support and indigent students (whose families have no work-related incomes (parents are unemployed or disabled)).
The scholarship provides a tuition fee (if necessary) + 2 500 EUR support for day to day expenses each academic year throughout the entire period of undergraduate studies.
Applicants have to submit:
- CV (completed in English in accordance with EUROPASS guidelines);
- Two scanned motivation letters written in handwriting (in both languages - Estonian and English);
- An open essay on the subject “Which patron of the Tartu University would I most aspire to be alike and why?” (up to 2 000 characters);
- Other documents at applicants discretion, attesting its experience in its independent work, intellectual potential, the ability for new innovative ideas, and documents that can aid in the evaluation process.
We expect two letters of recommendation from the applicant's Secondary school teachers, directors or other representatives of the organizations he or she had got involved during studies in Secondary school at e-mail address fonds@fonds.lv until the 21stof October, 23:59. Language: English.
