Event for the Lady Lavley's commemoration takes place as part of the "Days of Programmer". ISince 1986, both events have been held regularly. It is a tradition of the UL Faculty of Computing since its establishment in 2009.

Days of Shadows'09 / Ēnu dienas 2009
The event took place from March 30 to April 1. It is intended for tje Latvian secondary school students so that they become the “shadows” of the students of the University of Latvia and can participate in the study process at the university before starting their studies. It is an opportunity to make a motivated decision in choosing further education.
In 2009, the project was supported by the patrons "Statoil Latvia" and "SEB banka".
Aivars Liepa’s Correspondence Mathematics School
Participants of the UL A. Liepa's Correspondence School of Mathematics are the most capable programmers and mathematicians of the future. The school has made a major contribution to preparing students for the Olympics and research for many years.
TIn 2009, the project is supported by the patron "Blue Coat Systems Latvia" (EUR 11 667.55).
Event for the 1st year students "Aristotle" / "Aristotelis 2006"
The annual celebration of young students at the University of Latvia in September was supported by the patron "SEB banka".
This year, Aristotle welcomed the new students for the 43rd time!

The event has a long tradition. It traditionally starts with a student march and singing in different parts of Riga.

Competition for young chemists
Patron "BioSan" is a long-term supporter of the events organized by the UL Faculty of Chemistry: "Competion for youn chemists" (2008-2009-2010) and "Days of Chemists".
A big thanks for the support provided for the production of "Days of Chemists" T-shirts for more than five years in a row!
Aivars Liepa’s Correspondence Mathematics School
In September 2007, the company "Komerccentrs DATI grupa" chose to support the most capable programmers and mathematicians of the future by supporting the UL A. Liepa's Correspondence School of Mathematics. It has made a major contribution to preparing students for the Olympics and research for many years.
In the autumn of 2007, as part of the events dedicated to its 15th anniversary, the company "IBM Latvia" invited partner companies to donate funds to ensure the operation of the UL A. Liepa's Correspondence Mathematics School.

The 8th International Conference "PROFES 2007" took place from 2 to 4 July. Its organization was supported by the patrons "Latvijas Mobilais Telefons", "Exigen Services Latvia", "TietoEnator Alise", "Metrika", "ZZ Dats", and Riga Institute of Information Technology. Thanks!

At the beginning of summer 2007, the patrons "Grindeks" and "Armgate" supported the competition organized by the UL Faculty of Chemistry.

The journal "TERRA" published by the University of Latvia is a popular scientific journal for a wide range of readers about natural sciences and the latest technologies in Latvia and the world. It has been launched since 2001.
