The patroness Ieva Miļūna is a lecturer in international law at the Riga Graduate School of Law, a member of the Council of Independent Experts in International and European Law at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.
Ieva Miļūna is a graduate of the University of Latvia Faculty of Law. She has augmented her academic experience at the University of Amsterdam, Fordham University in New York, as well as lectured in France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and Slovenia.
Her areas of specialization include international peace and security, the UN Security Council, the rule of law and international humanitarian law.
Ieva Miļūna was one of the initiators of founding the Kristīne Krūma Memorial Scholarship.
