Food Union

Food Union is a group of companies including the largest milk processing companies in Latvia: Rīgas piena kombināts (founded in 1927) and Valmieras piens (founded in 1971). 

The enterprise Food Union currently employs more than 600 staff and its turnover exceeds EUR 100 million per year. Food Union milk processing plants buy milk from more than 400 farmers and dairy producers in Latvia.

By combining the traditions, experience and energy of a modern enterprise, Food Union is becoming the most effective and outstanding food processing company in the Baltics characterized by efficient and ethical manufacturing, sustainable development and stable long-term cooperation with the suppliers of best-quality raw materials in the region.

In 2011, Rīgas Piena kombināts supported the project "Excellence Prize 2011" in the amount of EUR 1 525.

In 2012, Food Union continued its support to the project "Excellence Prize 2012" in the amount of EUR 1 450.
