SIA Mikrotīkls (1996) is a Latvian company that manufactures and develops computer network management tools, including software and routers. The company's products are distributed worldwide and used by ISPs, businesses and individual users.

The company is a developer of MikroTik RouterOS software and a manufacturer of RouterBoard equipment. SIA Mikrotīkls aims to provide a wide range of users with powerful, easy-to-use computer network management tools. Clients of SIA Mikrotīkls are Internet service providers, companies and individual users who require data traffic routing, firewall, VPN, and other management functions in various wired and wireless computer networks.

Support

In 2011, the company donated two sets of MikroTik routers with a wide range of functionality to the University of Latvia Faculty of Computing, and students use them in workshops of the study course "Computer Network Administration" and for individual research on different networking protocols.

At the end of 2015, Mikrotīkls donated EUR 500 000 for the implementation of projects at the UL Faculty of Computing, the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Optometry and the Faculty of Medicine.

In 2016, Mikrotīkls donated EUR 1 000 000, continuing cooperation with the University of Latvia Foundation for development of higher education, science and culture.

At the end of 2017, Mikrotīkls donated EUR 250 000 to further develop the field of exact, life and medical sciences at the University of Latvia.

In 2018, the company continued to support the development of natural, life and medical sciences at the University of Latvia with a donation of EUR 250 000.
