Academic CentreAn association established in 1993, which safeguards the prestige of the profession, the opportunities for the development of notaries and the acquisition of experience. It represents the Board of Latvian sworn notaries, drafts and approves the regulations that implement the internal operation of the apparatus. The association manages the activities of sworn notary assistants and sworn notary candidates.

The Council of Sworn Notaries of Latvia was a supporter of scholarship programme "Ceļamaize 2009".
In the 2010/2011 academic year, the Council of Sworn Notaries of Latvia established the Young Researcher Scholarship and for the first time awarded it to the student of the UL Faculty of Law Aleksejs Ketovs (the amount of scholarship was EUR 2 560).
In the 2011/2012 academic year, the scholarship was awarded to Dainis Pudelis (EUR 2 560).
In the 2012/2013 academic year, the scholarship was awarded to Artis Straupenieks (EUR 2 850).
In 2014, the Council of Sworn Notaries of Latvia supported the international conference of the UL Faculty of Law "Political Situation of Rights" with a donation of EUR 500.
In the 2015/2016 academic year, the scholarship was awarded to Agneta Rumpa (EUR 3 000).
