Latvia’s State Forests

State Joint Stock Company Latvia’s State Forests (1999) is engaged in the management of Latvian state forests, including forest care and regeneration, growing and selling of forest tree seedlings and seeds, as well as ornamental plants. The company manages more than one million hectares of forest. Developing nature tourism, recreation, promoting public awareness and open-air recreation, the company set up a nature park in Tērvete.

Support

In 2015, Latvia’s State Forests supports "Excellence Award" with a donation of EUR 1 600.

In 2014, the company donated EUR 1 500 to fund objects of art and scholarship for teacher of biology – winner of "Excellence Award 2014".

In December of 2009, “Latvijas Valsts meži” provided support for the 2010 project for education of young leaders "Trieciengrupa" ("Attack Group").
