UL Faculty of Computing birthday celebration
The UL Faculty of Computing was founded in 2009, however, its traditions began with the establishment of the Department of Computing at the UL Faculty of Physics and Mathematics in 1992, and much earlier – with the construction of the first computer in Latvia in 1960.
Since March 2010, the faculty's birthday is celebrated for a week, with a versatile programme of events. Students of the Faculty of Computing organize various competitions, game evenings and other entertainment events, which are popular not only amongst themselves, but also with students of other faculties.
