The Seniors of the University of Latvia (UL) are major benefactors of the university. They support a variety of projects and attend many cultural events themselves, considering them an important source of intellectual enrichment and inspiration. Among the UL Seniors there are two independent contributors that provide financial support to the university – Ojārs Judrups and Pāvels Fricbergs. Overall, more than 50 UL Seniors have donated to various projects. Their contributions are managed by the UL Foundation.
Ojārs Judrups has been making different monetary contributions to UL projects since 2009. Ojārs’ donations have served as a source of funding for both the “Ceļamaize” student scholarship and the “Juventus” UL choir. The UL Senior says: “The UL is dear to me, and its students require support. What else would I donate to, if not my university?”.
As for Pāvels Fricbergs, he is a UL benefactor since 2011. He has also supported students, contributing to the funds of the “Ceļamaize” and Galenieku family scholarships, The Alumni Path of the UL Botanical Garden (BG), and the improvement of the UL BG’s premises. "I feel a sense of belonging with the UL family and wish to support the endeavors of the UL Foundation. I am especially interested in supporting first-years, who are only beginning their studies." muses Pāvels.
The UL is grateful to all the supporters and contributors of its projects! If you are interested in making a donation of your own, please refer here.
