Laila Kundziņa, Executive Director of the University of Latvia Foundation, says: “It is important that we support our students – we need to take care of future education. It is great that new study programs appear at the University of Latvia every year, which proves that the University of Latvia is a university that keeps up with the times. This is definitely important for every patron, even for those who are not in Latvia. Native roots remain here and the desire to invest in student education is high. Students are also happy to accept the support provided by the University of Latvia, because time for studies is very busy and important, so the financial support of the scholarship is an opportunity for students to spend all their time studying and not looking for work to cover their everyday expenses”.
