The comments of Chapters 1–28 of the Civil Procedure Law in a separate book were first published in 2011. Since the publication of this book, the Civil Procedure Law has been amended with more than 20 laws. All these many amendments have been adopted with the aim of improving the procedure for resolving civil disputes, most of which are considered significant. In the period until the end of 2015, the Constitutional Court has also assessed the compliance of the norms of the Civil Procedure Law, including the norms incorporated in this part of the comments, with the Constitution in several cases. Also, within 5 years the practice of application of civil procedural law norms has developed, jurisprudence has also made a significant contribution to both the application of the norms of the Constitution and other laws, and to the promotion of comprehension of the content of international law and European Union law. These books will now be available to law students at their library.

Law firm "Skrastiņš un Dzenis" donates funds in the amount of EUR 8,828.60.
