At the beginning of academic year 2020/2021, the University of Latvia (UL) Foundation invites applications for 26 different sets of scholarships. The competition is organised to award support to several dozen students of the University of Latvia and other higher education institutions starting from the 2nd year of bachelor's studies – the prospective recipients are capable and diligent students who are active in public life and are enrolled in full-time studies. The weighted average mark must be above 7.5 points.
In order to receive a motivating material support throughout the academic year, applicants must prepare their CV and evaluate motivation, summarize their achievements of studies and research, contact two lecturers to obtain a recommendation, as well as get acquainted with the University of Latvia patrons' contribution to higher education. Applicants are evaluated in two rounds. In October, after reviewing the electronic applications, the selected candidates will be invited for a face-to-face interview.
